Thousands Join in Being Bold at the Hoag Experience Lounge
At the 2023 Hoag Classic, held March 15–19 at Newport Beach Country Club, thousands of Orange County residents engaged with Hoag to learn about the Boldly Hoag capital campaign while visiting the Hoag Experience Lounge. A fly-through video projected on the lounge’s giant screen revealed the upcoming transformation of the Sun Family Campus in Irvine, and more than 2,500 guests added a selfie to a BE BOLD photo mosaic. As a function of Hoag’s ongoing commitment to caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—visitors to the Hoag Experience Lounge also had the opportunity to participate in chipping and long putt challenges and engage with Hoag leaders and physicians. Feedback on Hoag’s expansion in Irvine was overwhelmingly positive. As the most philanthropic event on the PGA TOUR Champions, the Hoag Classic has raised over $22.5 million to advance patient care at Hoag and support other local charities.
