Building Momentum: Sun Family Campus Takes Shape

With every step of progress, the walls of Hoag’s Sun Family Campus in Irvine rise higher, each piece a testament to the dedication of those who believe in a future of health care defined by excellence, innovation, and community. The addition of the Cancer & Digestive Hospital Pavilion, Women’s Hospital Pavilion, and Surgical Pavilion underscores this commitment, each building representing a cornerstone of advanced care and a promise to transform lives. From construction of cutting-edge facilities to the recruitment of some of the nation’s top clinical talent, Hoag’s supporters are empowering the campus—set to open in 2026—to push boundaries and redefine the way care is delivered.

Earlier this year, Diana and David Sun made an additional $50 million gift, bringing their total contribution to the Boldly Hoag campaign to $100 million. This makes their family’s support the largest contribution to Irvine’s expansion. The Suns’ extraordinary generosity is a testament to their commitment to advancing health care for future generations and strengthens their legacy of impact in Orange County and beyond.
