Together, We Are Boldly Hoag
Of Orange County and for Orange County since 1952, Hoag has built a unique relationship with the community that continues to drive and sustain the entire organization. This culture of giving spans from our neighbors and friends to Hoag’s physicians, nurses and staff, permeating compassionate care we deliver every day. Now, with an outpouring of early support for Boldly Hoag, our relationship with the community is only growing stronger. Join us in redefining the future of health and wellness, today.
Boldly Hoag Executive Committee
The Hoag Hospital Foundation is grateful to the Hoag Expansion Executive Committee for their vision, support and participation. This volunteer group of community leaders was convened to provide insight and guidance as the Hoag Hospital Foundation formulated plans for the Boldly Hoag campaign and initiated the effort. They also helped inspire early support for the campaign by hosting leadership briefings, serving as advocates for the Hoag expansion and connecting fellow community members to Hoag.
Thank you, Hoag Expansion Executive Committee!

Du Family Makes $25 Million Gift to Boldly Hoag Campaign to Support Hoag’s Expansion
Scheduled to open in 2026, Hoag’s reimagined Sun Family Campus in Irvine will be built around the Du Family Hospital Pavilion in honor of a generous $25 million gift from longtime philanthropists Ben and Carmela Du. The pavilion will sit at the heart of the Irvine campus, welcoming patients and visitors to Hoag’s $1 billion expansion project.
Sun Family Foundation
A transformational $50 million gift from renowned Orange County philanthropists Diana and David Sun is serving as a financial cornerstone of Hoag’s highly anticipated expansion. In gratitude for their gift, the grounds of Hoag Irvine will be named the Sun Family Campus.
“It’s no more important or meaningful than any other gift to Hoag, no matter the amount, if it comes from the heart and is made in the hope of helping others. Diana and I simply hope our gift will inspire others to give whatever they can.” – David Sun
